NVT Network Video Technologies

Network Video Technologies is the world leader in UTP-based Hybrid analog surveillance video and camera power transmission. From the beginning, our focus on this security technology has enabled us to help our customers connect the world of cost-effective analog cameras and UTP, to a thoughtfully deployed IP digital future.

Now, with the introduction of the NVT Ethernet-over-Coax product range, we are deploying technology that allows our customers a choice; to connect and power IP cameras over installed coax cable, at distances beyond PoE.

We have an industry acknowledged reputation for supplying products that are best in class, easy to use, well supported and feature a lifetime warranty.

NV-EC1701U

Ethernet over 2-wire Transceiver with PoE Power

NVT Ethernet TransceiverThe NVT Model NV-EC1701U Eo2™ Ethernet Transceiver is a compact media converter that allows 10/100 BaseT Ethernet and PoE power to be transmitted using UTP, STP, 18/2, or similar. These devices are often used in legacy installations where existing wire is re-used as part of an upgrade to IP devices. 48 VDC class 2 power is delivered to one transceiver, which distributes it to up to four remote transceivers, and their PoE devices.

These transceivers are extremely simple to use, with no PC configuration required. Status LEDs indicate power and link connectivity/activity for RJ45 and 2-wire ports. The NV-EC1701U is backed by NVT’s award winning customer support and limited lifetime warranty.

* Distance and number of devices supported may be lower due to attenuation/voltage-drop on the wire.
